Job summary:
Entry level workers to do tasks requiring little training and to assist more skilled workers. Perform a broad array of routine tasks needed to make the work of more skilled employees flow smoothly.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite
Dig and fill holes where heavy equipment is not practical
Dig ditches and trenches using shovels and other hand tools
Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
Abilities required:
Must be able to perform heavy manual labour under adverse weather conditions
Familiarity with the materials, tools and machinery used
Some experience as a general construction labourer
Knowledge of the road construction industry
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
Flag person training an asset.

Hours of work, 8 per day, 40 per week, overtime as required ($18.90 to $23.00 per hour)
